Set in the gorgeous countryside of Carmarthenshire, near the village Drefach Felindre it offers the perfect get-away location for a relaxed wedding with a difference.

The Ceridwen Centre is one of the few venues we know of that provides a purpose built outdoor wedding ceremony area, along with a sheltered area if the Welsh weather doesn’t cooperate. Lucy and Tom’s day had a real mixture of weather conditions with bright summer sunshine one minute and then heavy summer downpours the next. Unfortunately the heavy downpours happened right when the ceremony was meant to be and we were forced to move everything undercover, but that really didn’t affect things too much. If anything it added some very unique and special moments which you’ll see in the images below.

When we met Lucy and Tom a year or so before their wedding they mentioned how much that wanted their day to be a relaxed celebration and obviously as enjoyable as possible. They had friends attending from all over the country and they wanted the day to be just as much about family and friends as it was about them. On the day it was easy to see what they meant, and that relaxed vibe they wanted was set from the minute we started documenting.

Lucy began her day with preparations over in the main house, surrounded by family and the cutest collection of page boys and flower girl - who stole the spotlight on several occasions! Tom got ready with his groomsmen over on the other side of the venue near the beautifully restored gypsy caravan. We were made to feel instantly welcomed by everyone and that made documenting the moments so easy. We don’t really think there is any need to write more about how this beautiful day unfold because the images and moments you see below say a lot more that we could ever communicate in words. So please take a few moments to scroll through the images and enjoy this loveable wedding story of Lucy & Tom!

Crug Glas Country House Wedding | Sara + Craig

We are very proud to feature this amazing wedding of Sara + Craig, who celebrated their special day at the beautiful venue of Crug Glas Country House, near Solva in Pembrokeshire. Their wedding was full of the most amazing details and decor we've ever seen. We started the day by capturing the bride and groom preparations. Maria with the girls and had the pleasure of working alongside the super talented MUA Jody Amner at Crug Glas. Rich started his coverage with the boys at Craig's parents home. The weather wasn't your typical July weather, but that didn't seem deter the celebrations in any way.

Their wedding was full of the most amazing details and decor we've ever seen. Sara's wedding dress from High Society Bridal was simply stunning! Plenty of wedding inspiration here for anyone planning their future wedding!

If anything it added a unique look to the couple portrait session, which we would never be able to achieve without a smidgen of mysterious Welsh sea mist!

Onto the ceremony and wedding breakfast where guests were greeted by some of the most amazing decor and floral displays. Stunning wedding decor by Megan & Claude, Floral displays by Wendy of Blodwen Florist and amazing wedding stationery and signage herself, designed and created by Sara sister Mari. We had originally planned to go away from the venue for the bride and groom photo session. However, Crug Glas offers so many unique locations there really was no need to go elsewhere. This meant more time to celebrate! Audio Sugar kicked off the party with Sara & Craig's first dance and the celebrations continued well into the night!

Here are some highlights from their magical day. Thank you, Sara and Craig, for having us at your wedding day and be so willing to push things a little further to allow us to capture these images!

Kind words from Sara and Craig.

Rich & Maria,

Where to start thanking you? From our first meeting with you to discuss our wedding to our actual wedding day - you've been amazing! We can't thank you enough for your professionalism and our amazing photos! We love them!!

Lots of love, Sara & Craig xx

There are lots of things to love about this wedding, but most of all, it's the people that made it so special!

Rhosygilwen Wedding | Holly + Chris

For our second visit to the beautiful venue of Rhosygilwen Mansion in Pembrokeshire where we were lucky enough to have the opportunity to capture Holly and Chris’s day of celebration. The day began with us capturing the morning preparations, both of which took place conveniently inside Rhosygilwen Mansion. Holly and Chris chose to have their wedding ceremony at the Church of the Holy Cross at Mwnt, Ceredigion.

Although the church wasn’t quite large enough to accommodate all their guests it did provide an opportunity for everyone to enjoy some of the stunning coastline of Cardigan Bay.

After the ceremony was done we took a short hike up to the highest point of Mwnt that overlooks the church on one side and the cliffs surrounding the bay on the other. Holly came equipped with some suitable for shoes and off we went! After experiencing some rather blustery onshore winds we then returned to Rhosygilwen to continue the day of celebration!

The one thing we always remembered about our previous wedding at Rhosygilwen (with Rhi and Tom, you can see their wedding here) was how relaxed everyone was. The same was true with Holly and Chris wedding. Set in the beautiful rural countryside of Pembrokeshire, Rhosygilwen seems to set a very relaxed and carefree vibe that everyone enjoys. If there was one thing we love as photographers it’s the fact that there are endless beautiful locations for photos with the bride and groom. Which of these are all very natural and authentic, and if timed correctly provide some amazing light for photographs. As you scroll through the images below you’ll see what we mean when you get to the photo session we did around Rhosygilwen in the evening. Hope you the story of Holly and Chris wedding day at Rhosygilwen Mansion.

Rosedew Farm Wedding | Sorelle + Lewis

Earlier in the year, we had the amazing pleasure of photographing Sorelle & Lewis's beautiful wedding at Rosedew Farm in Llantwit Major. A stunning venue which made a perfect setting for this rustic styled wedding. When we did a pre-wedding visit to Rosedew Farm a few days before we were taken back by how perfect this venue was for the relaxed style of weddings we love to capture. With a rural feel and just a couple of minutes away from the stunning Llantwit Major beach, it has so much to offer that other venues don’t. Not only that but at the time of year, I visited it was surrounded by acres of bright yellow rapeseed fields all of which were in full bloom. After seeing that it didn't take a genius to figure out where we would go for the Bride and Groom photos once their wedding day arrived.

After seeing that it didn't take a genius to figure out where we would go for the Bride and Groom photos once their wedding day arrived.

Sorelle happens to be an accomplished and successful photographer herself (you can see her work here), so when we took the booking we were excited to find someone who understands what photographing a wedding is all about, at the same time it also meant we had to deliver work that exceeded the expectations of someone who knows her stuff as far as photography goes. No pressure then!

Judging from the amazing feedback we received from Sorelle and Lewis after the wedding we happy to say we achieved our goal. When we think back to their wedding it brings back so many beautiful memories of love, happiness and real emotion. You only have to scroll through the images below to see what we mean.

We hope you enjoy the story of Sorelle and Lewis's magical day at Rosedew Farm!

Kind words from Sorelle and Lewis.

"I cannot even tell you how happy Lewis and I are with the images. They are incredible, everything I wanted and more. You have captured so many moments! Some we forgot about and some we didn't know had happened! It has made us want to do it all over again. I cannot wait to share with friends and family, and most importantly get them all printed so I can see them on my walls every day. We cannot thank you enough, you are both seriously talented. Thank you for capturing memories that will last our lifetime xxx"

Carreg Cennen Castle Wedding | Sarah + Chris

Sarah and Chris had their wedding at the spectacular venue of Carreg Cennen Castle. A totally unique venue with some fascinating history, dating back to the 13th-century. It’s one venue that has been high on our wedding wishlist for quite some time. Rural and rustic, with incredible views stretching across the beautiful Welsh countryside, it’s easy to see why we absolutely adore this place.

We don't always post entire weddings, simply because we want visitors to our website to enjoy a few favourite images without having to wade through hundreds. This post, however, is a bit different. Different because we have so many favourites that it might seem we’ve featured everything we shot. Truth is, there are hundreds of more beautiful images we haven't featured here.

All in all, it was a day brimming with true love, happy emotions and a lot of laughs!

We can't express just how grateful we are to have the pleasure to capture such a perfect day with these three special people, their families and friends. Here's the story of their wedding day in pictures, not words………

Kind words from Sarah and Chris…..

"I just wanted to say thank you so so much for the beautiful pictures, honestly you captured the day perfectly. We love every single one of them. Fonmon Castle Wedding | Olivia + Chris

Olivia and Chris chose the beautiful venue of Fonmon Castle near Barry to celebrate their wedding. Situated on a rural estate in the beautiful Vale of Glamorgan, just 25 minutes from Cardiff and the M4, Fonmon Castle is often considered a “hidden gem”. We started our day at separate locations with us both capturing the Bride and Groom morning preparations before making our way to St. Marys Church in Penmark for the wedding ceremony.

We started our day at separate locations with us both capturing the Bride and Groom morning preparations before making our way to St. Marys Church in Penmark for the wedding ceremony. After a beautiful and relaxed ceremony with one of the nicest and most laid-back vicars we have ever come across, it was time to make our way over to Fonmon Castle. Just a short drive away from the church it marked the beginning of the day’s celebrations. Their day was full of some really beautiful moments. Which not only involved Olivia and Chris but also their families and friends as well. Their amazing pageboys and flower girls also had their fair share of photo fame and made the day a real family affair.

As you scroll through the images below you may notice a familiar face, if you’re into Welsh rugby. Chris’s best man just happened to be none other than Welsh rugby union player, Rhys Webb. Rhys managed to play a game of rugby on the actual day of the wedding, joining us for the morning preparations before heading off to play and winning the match. Then joined the wedding again to do his best mans speech and celebrate into the evening.

Here is a selection of some of our favourite images from Olivia and Chris’s incredible day at Fonmon Castle.

Oxwich Bay Hotel Wedding | Jenny + Adam

There are very few wedding venues in Wales that have the advantage of being located a stone's throw away from the beach like the Oxwich Bay Hotel. It’s one of the reasons why Jenny and Adam chose the location for their dream wedding venue. The other reason was that they both have very fond memories of Oxwich Bay from previous adventures in the Gower area. Apparently it was once the place that gave them some much-needed shelter during one of those Gower adventures some years ago. While on a hike the got caught-up a nasty and unexpected storm. Instead of continuing, they snuggled-up in front of an open fire inside the hotel, letting the storm pass and enjoying a drink or two.

Instead of continuing, they snuggled-up in front of an open fire inside the hotel, letting the storm pass and enjoying a drink or two. That’s when they truly discovered the beauty of Oxwich Bay Hotel. Lucky for us they eventually decided it was the perfect place to celebrate their wedding!

There was so much to love about this winter wedding. Apart from the adorable couple themselves. Jenny wore a beautiful wedding dress that complimented Adam's very dapper tweed suit perfectly. Their family and friends, who brought along so much love and laughter throughout. And Zach and Madison, who were dressed in the same tweed suits as the groomsmen (just a cuter version). These two little fellas stole the attention of our cameras on many occasions as well as a few hearts throughout the day.

We could go on, but we would much rather you enjoy the story of their day in pictures, not words. So here are a few of our favourite images from their magical day! Thank you, Jenny and Adam, for entrusting us to capture your amazing day!

Kind words from Jenny & Adam

Adam and I just wanted to send you a quick email to thank you so much for everything you did for us on Friday, you were amazing! We're excited to see the pictures but aside from that, of all the weddings we've been to and photographers I've been directed by when I've been a bridesmaid, you are by far the best. You are such genuinely lovely people and it was such a pleasure to have you around.

Thank you so much!

De Courceys Manor Wedding | Laura + Michael

Earlier this year we had the honour of capturing another amazing day of celebration with Laura and Michael at De Courceys Manor in Cardiff. We met Laura & Michael at a wedding fayre and they decided on us as their wedding photographers because they wanted wedding images that captured the essence of their day! They wanted natural storytelling images, rather than what they have experienced at previous friends weddings. And they really did not want their day to turn into some kind of ‘production’ with a never-ending list of staged photos. They knew that wasn’t them nor what they were looking for in terms of photography. Fortunately, they found us and loved our more relaxed style of photography, and we’re so happy they did!

What we particularly enjoyed about this wedding was the way Laura and Michael, their families and friends were so willing to accept us into their day and let us do our thing without being overly aware that they were being photographed. This meant we were able to get close to the action and catch everything as it happened naturally. We feel this is what makes their wedding images truly authentic and why we enjoyed spending the day with them and their wonderful families and friends so much. Here are a few of our favourite images from this amazing De Courceys Manor wedding. Thank you both for such an awesome day!

Kind words from Laura and Michael.

Thank you so much! The photos are fantastic! We can't stop looking through them! Thanks for all your hard work in documenting our special day so beautifully!

Mansion House Llansteffan Wedding | Georgia + Ellis

Georgia & Ellis chose the beautiful venue of the Mansion House Llansteffan for their dream wedding day. It’s a local venue for us and somewhere we’re always very excited to return too. With stunning views across the Towy estuary, it’s easy to see why this is such a popular venue and why couples fall in love with this place.

Georgia & Ellis chose the beautiful venue of the Mansion House Llansteffan for their dream wedding day. It’s a local venue for us and somewhere we’re always very excited to return too. With stunning views across the Tywi estuary, it’s easy to see why this is such a popular venue and why couples fall in love with this place, just look at the opening image below!

We first met Georgia and Ellis over a Skype call after they found us online. No matter how many of those Skype calls we do, they never seem to get any easier or less awkward! Don’t think we’re alone on that one. Lucky we also had an opportunity to meet them in person before the wedding. Meeting before the wedding day always makes things easier for both parties when the big day finally arrives. We highly recommend that couples try to meet with us at least once before the wedding day. After all, nobody wants two strangers photographing their dream wedding day so building a rapport is a great way to gain trust.

Looking through the images you will get a good indication of what a lovely couple Georgia and Ellis make. These two have so much affection and understanding for each other, which made photographing their wedding so enjoyable! It wasn’t just the connection between themselves that made the day special, but also the connection they had with their families and friends. Everyone from their close family played an important role in the success of their day. Whether it was making speeches, performing readings or simply walking Georgia down the aisle. It all added to the closeness and intimacy of the day.

Here are some of our favourite images from their magical day. We hope you enjoy this beautiful wedding story.
